GreenSand Filters

Aslan Technologies’ Greensand filtration process oxidises and precipitates iron, sulfur, and manganese by contact with the greensand media. Once minerals are precipitated, the sand can be backwashed to remove the sediments and periodically regenerated through the application of potassium permanganate. In cases of high concentration, greensand filtration skids are integrated with additional chemical treatments to provide consistent and sophisticated treatment.


Potable Water Treatment Systems

Aslan Technologies has built systems that produce drinking water for municipalities, communities, camps, embassies, and government buildings across the globe. In every instance, we have met or exceeded the required standards for drinking water quality set by local governments or the World Health Organisation, depending on the region.

Our integrated solutions are capable of treating groundwater, surface water from lakes and rivers, and even seawater. Eliminating suspended solids, microorganisms, organics, and inorganics such as nitrate, fluoride, lead, and arsenic are easily accomplished by Aslan’s systems.

In addition to our permanent solutions, we also produce a system that supplies pure water in 1.5 litre bags for remote communities that do not have access to clean water. We also supply emergency relief organisations with pure water bagging systems that are ideal for natural disaster areas.

Our drinking water systems come in small portable boxes, mounted on skids, in containers, or on trailers. To ease operation and maintenance difficulties, we design each system to meet delivery requirement, space restrictions, and work within the specific geographical location.

Reverse Osmosis (RO)

Aslan’s RO Systems are available in custom configurations for use in industrial and potable water purification applications. Working under ionic diffusion and reversal of osmotic pressure, ROs drive water away from dissolved molecules and reject particles in the 0.0001 – 0.001µm range, filtering all dissolved salts and particles with the exception of dissolved gases. Our RO systems can be used for desalination or high purity applications and are also alternative systems for demineralization to produce water of purity less than 1 -100ppm of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).

These systems are available with Spiral Wound Membranes in Cellulose Acetate (CA), or Thin-Film Composite (TFC) contained in vessels made from FRP or Stainless Steel. Both Single or Multi-Pass options are available depending on applications’ requirements.

Ultra Filtration

Aslan’s UF Systems are pressure-dependent processes available in standard and custom configurations for use in water, wine, milk, fruit juices, and other solution clarification or concentration systems. Treatment and purification of source water as well as process or wastewater treatment presents other filtration problems that are easily addressed with ultrafiltration. These packages operate based on the principle of mechanical separation determined by the pore sizes of selected membranes. UF membranes are characterized by their molecular weight cut-off. They can reject particles in the 0.01 – 3 µm range (depending on the specifications required) to filter suspended solids, microorganisms, and most organic molecules. Both crossflow or dead-end filtration processes are used depending on the application in either batch or continuous operations. Pre-filtration can protect UF membranes with pores between 0.5 and 1.0 µm, depending on the composition of the solution or wastewater.

Hollow Fiber, Tubular Membrane or other types of membranes with different designs and configurations are available to suit your applications.

Deionized Water

Aslan’s Ion Exchange systems are available in standard or custom configurations. Standard Pressurized Vessels are available in down-flow, up-flow (fluidized), and mixed bed configurations with optional de-carbonation units in FRP, PVC, Lined Carbon Steel, or Stainless Steel.

Cartridge Filtration

For smaller installations (<1 LPS) Packaged Cartridge Filtration may be an option.
